Eat Pants - Interactive Fiction Sessions from my Server Logs

I've looked at my web server logs previously to see if anyone had used my Web Frotz Interpreter and until recently didn't realize that awstats (the web server log report generator) was truncating the query from my URL, so I couldn't tell that anyone was actually using it. But after grepping the logs manually I've pulled out the URLs of visitor's text adventure sessions. If you'll recall, my Web Frotz Interpreter stores the game state in the URL so its easy to see user's game states in the web server logs.

This makes me feel a little strange, in a voyeuristic way. It is quite amusing though! Is the IF community aware that you've created this web interpreter?

I was originally thinking that since there's no names or IP addresses or anything it should be OK, but maybe I need a disclaimer on there too for new people playing to let them know their instance of the game might be made public w/o identifying info.

Ultimately I'd like to have some way of seeing the other commands people are issuing to the game you're playing in real time. As in, while playing Zork you can see what other people playing Zork are doing and maybe also switch to view the entire game log associated with one of the most recent commands. Kind of like what they've done on <http://sarien.net/>.

I don't think the IF community and myself are on a first name basis. I don't know if anyone has seen this.
